Soccer and sunshine

It was a beautiful night for soccer. The teenager's team played a late night game.

The waxing moon looked over the field.

The first official day of summer vacation, the little man and I bought a bird bath, filled it up and waited for the birds to take a sip. I got to see a sparrow have a drink but did not get a shot of it.

I went over to my mom's the other day to look at her garden blooms. It is obvious where I got my passion for gardening. Thanks MOM!

Great summer shots. I love that birdbath.. and the kidlet appears totally delighted with himself for handling the hose. :)

Your garden looks fabulous! Unlike my jungle.
And love the birdbath - methinks the birds will, too!

Looks like you are keeping busy. I love that shot of the moon over the ball field.

thanks all for checking in on me. I've been ultra busy this week with things other than cyber space but have checked in on you all today.

Bag Lady- I had a neighbor girl come into my yard today as I was digging up grass in order to plant some hostas. She asked me if I had planted all the things in my yard and I said "yes". Then she asked me how long that took me and I said "years". I can't believe it when I think about it but there was not a plant in the yard when I bought the house and now 12 years later it is a plant haven.

Hilary - Don't all kids just LOVE the hose? :)

Steviewren - Thanks. It was a gorgeous night out. We have been so lucky here in the Upper Midwest so far. We have had low humidity- warm days and cool nights.
